Overview of Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) and the VB-MAPP

Multi-day learning opportunity

This training is to provide information on: -Applied Behavior Analysis and debunk any misconceptions -Tie the information to how we contact the principles of ABA in everyday life -The verbal operants/other VB-MAPP components and why they are important -What the VB-MAPP is, how administer it, and how to program for it after getting the results The morning will be information gathering/activities to gain an understanding of the concepts listed above. The afternoon will have an emphasis on how to program using the results from the VB-MAPP within small groups. Groups with either focus on intensive teaching or how to use the information when planning more naturally and within the general education setting. This training is intended to provide tools and strategies to educators in order to support student learning within a variety of environments. The goal is to look at assessment results and how that correlates to individualized, small, and large group programming to ensure we are meeting each student's needs. COST INFORMATION: Workshop fee* waived for NSSED employees, Member District** employees, and parents of students in our member districts. For individual participants who do not meet the above criteria, certain fees will apply.
